Process

Working in oils, my paintings can contain many layers. Often I will paint over previous work, keeping the elements I like and then blending them into the next stage of the painting. I work until I feel the painting is finished and have expressed what I needed to say in it. Sometimes a painting is complete in one layer.  ​
